Ubuntu Blend – Honduras & DR Congo beans
Embrace a coffee that tells a story of connection, community and change. Our Ubuntu Blend brings together 70% single-origin beans from Honduras and 30% from the Democratic Republic of Congo into a cup that’s rich in flavour — and full of purpose. The blend’s name is drawn from the African philosophy of the word “ubuntu” — meaning “humanity towards others” or “I am because we are.” It reflects our belief: in community, in interdependence, in caring together. When you raise your cup of Ubuntu Blend, know you’re part of something bigger.
Tasting Notes
The Honduras beans deliver a smooth, elegant base: think silky caramel, softened milk-chocolate tones and a whisper of citrus brightness. The DR Congo portion adds vibrant layers: bold dark-berry fruit, wild cocoa depth, a hint of black tea, and a clean, lingering finish. The result? A coffee that is perfect for your morning lift or an afternoon pause. Our roaster Adrian suggests you choose a coarse grind if you prefer a cafetiere and a fine grind for espresso.
Why It Matters
With every bag of Ubuntu Blend you’re not just buying coffee — you’re supporting lives and communities. Ferrario Coffee donates directly from your purchase to the Beautiful Births Foundation. Women in DR Congo are roughly 50+ times more likely to die from pregnancy-related causes than in the UK; and a mother in Honduras is around 6 times more likely to die.
By choosing Ubuntu Blend you join our mission to train skilled birth attendants, uplift underserved communities and help rewrite those statistics.
Raise a cup. Raise hope.
Indulge in the exceptional taste of Ubuntu Blend, share its story, feel comforted by it's essence of humanity towards others and become a member of a movement where every sip supports safer childbirth for others. Thankyou.
